ADST in Motion: Lighting Up and Powering Electromagnetism

Five hands-on electromagnetism activities for grades 6–8, from electromagnets to motors.

Students build an electromagnet from a nail and copper wire, make a paper speaker, map magnetic fields with iron filings, build a simple electric motor, and see electromagnetic induction in action. Each activity lists the materials and how to run it.
